Planning a children’s party can be so much fun, but coming up with different ideas year in year out can also be a challenge. It isn’t always easy to predict the temperamental British weather, even in the summer. So having an activity which can be set up either inside or outdoors is the perfect choice.
After a letting off steam with some traditional party games, why not use our paper lanterns for an activity. Each child can take home their completed masterpiece after the party to hang up in their bedroom.
What you need to decorate your paper lanterns
Here are some ideas for inexpensive craft materials you can provide to decorate the lanterns.
· A pack of 8” paper lanterns – either pastel or vibrant paper lanterns
· Paints
· Stickers
· Pictures from comics and magazines
· Glitter and sequins
· Tissue paper
· Ribbon and tape
· PVA glue
Water colours or acrylics paints can be used by older children, allowing them to get creative and style their paper lanterns with original designs. For younger children a range of stickers is probably the least messy choice.
