Merry Christmas Everyone

Who would believe it is 30 years since Shakin’ Stevens had a Christmas No. 1 in the UK singles chart with “Merry Christmas Everyone”? And it is still a firm favourite on the radio and TV every year. As November comes to an end and temperatures drop, thoughts are turning to the festive season.

Window displays have taken on a sparkle and the high streets are lit up with their traditional decorations. Well-known retail brands have already launched their Christmas-themed television adverts and everywhere plans are afoot for carol services, office parties, family celebrations and big public events.
