Spring Celebrations

It’s nearly Easter, the daffodils are out and the days are getting longer. The signs of spring are everywhere and for us this is the start of the wedding season - a great time for families and friends to get together and celebrate. And nowadays there are so many places to celebrate a wedding from the village hall, to a marquee in the garden or a grand country house hotel.

At Paper Lanterns UK we enjoy working with wedding planners, marquee companies and wedding venues supplying the perfect combination of paper lanterns in different sizes in a wide range of colours. The choice of colour is very personal and we have 25 to choose from pastel shades of ivory, pink, peach, mint and grey through to the more vibrant orange, red, purple, yellow and sapphire blue. For added sparkle choose silver and gold or for a modern monochrome look we have simple black and white. The choice is yours.

A very special street party for the Queen’s 90th birthday

On April 21st it will be the Queen’s 90th birthday although her official birthday is celebrated on June 13th as it has been the tradition since 1748 to celebrate the monarch’s birthday in June.

On Sunday June 12th a huge ‘Street Party’ is being held in the Mall in St James’s Park. Known as the Patron’s Lunch, it will celebrate the Queen’s patronage of over 600 charities and organisations. There will be 10,000 guests and the whole event will be screened live in Green Park and St James’s Park. All over the country there will be street parties and festivals so the whole nation will enjoy the event bringing their local community together.

So order your red, white and blue paper lanterns early as we know there is going to be a big run on these both June.
